ENNIS – Ennis Police were not revealing any new information this week in the case of the missing woman and single mother who disappeared more than a week ago.
The Department was informed by a family member of the missing woman’s disappearance on Jan. 6.
The missing woman, Emily Wade, 38, was described as 5’6” and 140 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes.
She was last seen leaving a friend’s home on Jan. 5, between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m.
She was driving a silver 2012 Nissan Altima belonging to her mother. The car had a Kentucky license plate reading 411 PAZ.
The family said Wade has made no contact with them or friends since her disappearance, and has not shown up at her job as a server at the Ennis Chili’s.
Jared Jones, Wade’s former boyfriend and the father of their seven-year-old daughter, has taken the lead on Wade’s search efforts. Family members have still not told Wade’s daughter her mother is missing.
Wade’s mother, Shirley Wade, told a local news station she did not think her daughter would stay away like this, and that she said is what she is most worried about now.
Ennis PD have talked to Wade’s co-workers and searched the roads she would likely have driven home.
There was nothing found during the search.
There was also a rumor a more in-depth search had taken place along Clay Street.
Clay Street is a road that leads to Old City Lake. Boats also might have also been used in the search, according to one report.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Wade is urged to contact Det. Sgt. Rodney Rickman (rrickman@ennistx.gov) or Det. Sgt. Jason York (jyork@ennistx.gov), or call 972-875-1234 ext. 2293.
