OVILLA – The City of Ovilla voted unanimously at last week’s city council meeting to name The Ellis County Press as the official paper of record for that city.
Ovilla Mayor Richard Dormier said, “We are pleased to have a locally owned newspaper provide these services for our city.”
The Ellis County Press was for a number of years previously the paper of record for Ovilla.
“We are happy to be working with Ovilla again. We look forward to making sure Ellis County residents as well as those living in the City of Ovilla are aware of all that is happening in that city,” said Charles Hatfield, publisher
The city council also read two proclamations at the council meeting. They recognized October as Fire Prevention month and November as National American Indian Heritage Month.
