“We have not dedicated the pavilion as of yet,” said Ovilla City Secretary Bobbie Jo Taylor. “We issued a proclamation at the beginning of the day to Mr. Charlie Morton a long-time resident and Grand Marshal. The pavilion cost right at $350,000.00 which was mostly funded by the EDC which had budgeted $300,000 for the project. The city funded the remaining portion. That is only for the pavilion and doesn’t include the restrooms that were added or any other updates.”
