The City of Ferris has a new paint scheme on its water tower located off I-45..
Replacing the Ferris ISD Yellowjacket logo is a different version of the Yellowjacket on one side, and the city logo on the other side with the words “The city that bricked the world” located under the city logo.
The new paint job cost approximately $300,000.
Ferris Mayor Pro Tem Tommy Scott said, “A lot of stuff gets put on the table and then they decide what needs to be done for the fiscal year.
“This year was the water tower, and it looks very nice and clean.”
The last time maintenance was done on the tower was a number of years ago.
