WILMER – Wilmer is expanding with both a 1.35 million-square-foot industrial park called Tradepoint West coming to the city, and Southport Logistics Center, which will be located on I-45 near the Union Pacific Intermodal yard.
Southport Logistics Center’s two combined buildings will consist of 1.5 million square-feet.
Tradepoint West will bring 354 trailer positions and 306 car parks to the city through a joint project by the Conlan Company, Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, AOS Engineering LLC, Hunter and Joiner, Inc., and the City of Wilmer. It is expected to be operational in the late fall.
Southport Logistics Center is expected to include 60-foot loading bays, and 185-foot truck court depths and cross-dock configurations.
The latter is a joint venture of Dallas’ Bandera Ventures and Atlanta-based Invesco Real Estate and is also expected to be complete by fall 2023.
