Midlothian man dies from multiple gunshots

MIDLOTHIAN – Choyce Redmon, 25, died Tuesday after being shot in a home in Midlothian, police stated Friday in a news release.

Officers responded a little before 9 p.m. Tuesday after a caller reported a shooting at a home in the 500 block of Chelsea Drive, near FM 1387.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had multiple gunshot wounds.

Midlothian emergency medical personnel took him to a hospital, where he was declared dead, police said.

A suspect has not been identified, but police said the slaying was a “targeted assault.”

Witnesses reported seeing a dark-color luxury sedan driving away from the scene of the crime, possibly from Chelsea Drive then north on Westminster Drive.

Police asked residents in the area to check their security camera footage for cars driving in that direction around that time.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Detective Philip Siegler at (972) 775-7674 or philip.siegler@midlothian.tx
