FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR RED OAK ISD

RED OAK – After months of planning, Red Oak ISD opened its classroom doors to start the first day of the 2020-2021 School year on Thursday, August 20. They also opened their virtual learning access as well. 

Red Oak ISD gave parents the choice of in-classroom instruction, or virtual classroom instruction. The split was nearly down the middle of in-classroom and virtual classroom instruction.

The one thing which did not change – were teachers and faculty welcoming their students back. They greeted their students with warm hellos and a big ‘ol welcome back at the campuses. Although masked were being worn, one could see the smiles in their eyes. 

And at Shields Elementary, one could see first day back apprehension melt away as teachers and faculty escorted their students inside and to their classrooms.
