Ferris ISD employee fired for inappropriate student communication

FERRIS – The Ferris Independent School District was made aware of the possible inappropriate communication between an ISD employee and student last week on Nov. 20.

An immediate investigation was opened and correspondence went out to Ferris ISD students’ parents confirming the report.

Upon confirmation, the employee was terminated and according to the correspondence sent to parents, the employee was reported to both the Texas Education Agency and the appropriate authorities. 

Ferris Superintendent Hector Madrigal did not respond to an email regarding the employee’s role with the district or next steps by press time.
