The City of Ferris issued a shelter-in-place order Monday, August 17 at 12:38 p.m. after a large gas leak near Ferris Road and Maple was reported.
“Roads in the area are closed and we are asking for you to avoid the area,” stated a NIXLE alert.
The gas was shut off, and Atmos Energy replaced the old gas line.
