ENNIS – While the Ennis Police Department have not responded to at least three emails/phone calls regarding a shooting last week in the 300 block of W. Waco, they have posted information regarding the shooting on their Facebook page.
Last week, a 16-year-old male was shot at around 4 p.m. in the city of Ennis, and no defined reason has been reported.
Officers responded to the shooting and offered the victim first aid while he was conscious.
The Ennis Fire and EMS personnel arrived shortly thereafter and transported the victim to a Dallas Hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Ennis police said they believe the shooting was an “isolated incident and the public is safe at this time.”
The reported suspects drove away in a small compact vehicle – possibly a Nissan – silver in color with a paper temporary tag.
The vehicle has a chrome grill and was occupied by four individuals.
