The Ellis County United Delegation of Special Olympics, in conjunction with the Waxahachie Independent School District, will host the North Texas Region Powerlifting Meet Jan. 13, at Robbie Howard Junior High School, 265 Broadhead Rd., Waxahachie.
Athletes from across North Texas will be represented, and the meet will be a qualifying meet for the Texas Winter Games to be held in Bee Cave, Texas on Feb. 17.
Admission is free, with competition starting at 10 a.m.
