WILMER – Wilmer City Mayor Sheila Petta surprised the students at Eddie Bernice Johnson Elementary recently with a donation of school uniforms.
“The City of Wilmer is thrilled to give back to our community by taking part in helping to supply school uniforms for the students at Eddie Bernice Johnson Elementary,” Petta said.
“Our students are such an important part of the growth and continual future in our city and we will do whatever we can to support the needs of our children in their quest to learn.”
The uniforms donations added up to $1,000 for students and was distributed this past Friday.
“We strongly value our partnership and are grateful to assist in any way possible as our children are our future and our pride and joy,” Petta concluded.
