WILMER – The City of Wilmer’s E.M. Gilliam Memorial Library Back-to-School Bash this past weekend was a success.
Students and their families gathered to enjoy stories, songs, and activities while getting into a new school year attitude.
This was the city’s first back-to-school bash post pandemic.
Back-to-School Bash highlights included story-time, which was read by City of Red Oak Library Director, Logan Ragsdale, and a special visit from Wilmer City Councilmember Pamela Wash.
“We had a wonderful participation at our back-to-school bash, said Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta. “The City of Wilmer is always excited to give back to our community and we take pride in our youth. We welcome everyone to visit the E.M. Gilliam Memorial Library and stay tuned for future programs.”
The Wilmer Library’s new operating hours recently changed and is now Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
