ENNIS – A missing Ennis child was recovered safely late last week after an Amber Alert went statewide for seven-month-old Miguel David Lee Ramirez.

On July 1, Ramirez’s mother, Faith Joann Reid, 20, of Fort Worth and Marcus Allhoff Nast, 24, also of Fort Worth, entered a residence in the 900 block of Shawnee in Ennis and took the infant without consent.

Police stated the father of the child followed the two out of the house resulting in an altercation involving a handgun and threats to shoot the child’s father.

Reid and Nast then left with the young boy in a white Ford F-150.

Ennis Police Department immediately contacted the Texas Department of Public Safety and requested that an Amber Alert be issued.

On July 2, Ennis Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Nast charging him with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony with a prison sentence of 2 to 20 years and a fine of as much as $10,000

Investigators were able to identify the license plate for the vehicle used by the suspects. Parker County law enforcement located the suspects and the missing child that same day. The child was recovered safely.

Reid was arrested and taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with a $300,000 bond.

Nast was able to elude police but the search for him continues.

It is unclear the relationship of Nast and Reid at this time.
