WAXAHACHIE – Chick-fil-A lovers in Waxahachie will be excited to learn a second Chick-fil-A fix has been approved by the Waxahachie City Council.

The new location will be at the intersection of S. Interstate 35E and Landmark Drive.

Council approved earlier this month a Special Use Permit for the 5,500-square-foot Chick-fil-A complete with a drive-through on Landmark Drive.

The new location will have the capacity for a 25 vehicle drive-through.

Currently the city requires an establishment such as Chick-fil-A to accommodate 36 vehicles.

However the new restaurant will offer 56 parking spaces.

Council also approved a 75-foot-pole for the restaurant, which was part of the SUP request.

It was not announced when the restaurant will open, but Chick-fil-A representatives suggested it will employ as many as 60 workers during business hours of Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The restaurant is closed on Sunday.
