PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION and CITY COUNCIL

City of Ferris, Texas

 

In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a joint public hearing to consider a rezoning request initiated by Ferris Gold LP to rezone a 2.5± acre property from the Commercial Neighborhood (C-N) zoning district to the Multi-Family Residential (MF-18) district in order to construct a new 36-unit apartment complex on the property.  

The subject property is generally located on the north side of FM 660, between Wallace Drive and Bear Creek Drive, within the City of Ferris, Texas and also within Ellis County, Texas (legal description:  Lot 1 of Wiggins Addition, ECAD #204382).

The joint public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this rezoning request will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

The joint public hearing will be held in the regular meeting place, the Ferris Council Chambers, located at 215 W. Sixth Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.

All persons interested in the proposed rezoning request are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time.  Comments may also be submitted in writing (or via fax or email) to the City at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the joint public hearing at the following address:
