PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION and CITY COUNCIL
City of Ferris, Texas
In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a joint public hearing to consider the following items:
Conduct a public hearing and take appropriate action regarding an amendment to Chapter 154 of the City’s Code of Ordinances to reduce the minimum front-yard setback for C-O Office and Residential Services District, C-N Commercial Neighborhood Retail District, and C-C Corridor Commercial District.
Conduct a public hearing and take appropriate action on a request by Nicholas Petroff, for a Special Use Permit to allow a Billboard Sign on a 0.367-acre property zoned C-C Corridor Commercial District, located at 508 College St., Ferris Texas 75125, further described as Lot 35 of the Crabtree#1 Addition, ECAD Property #163009 City of Ferris, Ellis County, Texas.
The joint public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on these requests will be held before the Ferris Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council on Tuesday, December 18, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Scout House, located at 514 South Mable Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.
All persons interested in the proposed requests are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time.
