The miracles of Jesus (part 19)

Then one was brought to Him who was demon possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?” Matthew 12:22,23

When the Pharisees heard of it, they accused Him of casting out demons by the ruler of the demons, Satan. Jesus knew their thoughts and told them that a kingdom divided against itself would fall.

Years ago, I was trained by an old carpet cleaner named Milt Green who got saved and dared to take God at His word.

He trained me to cast out demons and to take people through deliverance. I was a new Christian and still had a sizable debt from my drug days, and the president of a local bank who went to our church called me in to discuss my delinquent loan.

He told me that he could take a man like me and together we could make a lot of money, and then he asked me saying, “Do you believe Milt Green casts out demons?”

I said yes. Needless to say, our meeting was over. Just like the Pharisees, lost church folks are livid anytime someone believes in the miracles of Jesus.

“But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.”Matthew 12:28
