The miracles of Jesus (part 11)

A ruler came to Jesus and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” – Matthew 9:18

Jesus didn’t hesitate to come to the ruler’s home because He saw the love and faith of a father wanting to see his daughter raised from the dead.

Years ago, I was called to the hospital where a young lady had delivered a still-born infant and had gone into renal failure.

When I entered the ICU, she was on a ventilator and was the color of an orange.

I prayed but saw no change and went into the family room where the doctor was telling the parents that their daughter was clinically dead and there was no hope.

As I was listening to the words of the doctor the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Go back and pray for her again.” I did, but again saw no change and I left. A few days later I got word that the girl was healed and was out of the hospital!

Glory to God, His mercy endures forever!

Jesus entered the ruler’s house and said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. And the report of this went out into all the land. – Matthew 9:23-26
