ON THE JOB TRAINING (part 9)

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” – MATTHEW 7: 24,25

We are God’s house, His temple and His abode in the earth and this house must be built on the solid rock of Christ, the Cornerstone of His Divine building. Many houses are built on the sand of tradition, denomination and doctrine and when the storms come they are washed away.

The body of the Lord Jesus Christ must have a solid foundation on the word of God, rooted and grounded in it, showing themselves approved to God as workman, handling accurately the word of truth. God’s word is His will for us, His Divine instruction for life and Godliness, without which we would suffer great loss.

God’s word is alive and is our life-boat in the storms of life, the trials and tribulations come to wash us away in a flood of fear, doubt and unbelief. When the disciples were in a boat in a storm, Jesus came to them walking on water and they were fearful until Peter asked the Lord if he could come to Him and when He said, “Come,” Peter got out and walked on water, that is until he took his eyes off of Jesus and looked at his circumstances.

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” – MATTHEW 7: 26,27
