ON THE JOB TRAINING (part 23)

And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.” For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. – MATTHEW 13:10-13

Did you ever notice when speaking to someone about spiritual things that the ones who don’t have eyes to see or ears to hear can’t understand what in the world you are talking about? Some even think you are crazy speaking of dreams, visions and prophetic messages given by Holy Spirit!.

The prophet Isaiah spoke of this and Jesus quoted it in Matthew 13:14-15 that people’s hearts have become dull and their ears are hard of hearing. He also said they have closed their eyes. This is where most are today, deaf, blind and hard of heart in regards to the mysteries and spiritual wisdom given by God.

As we enter these last days upon the earth and all hell is breaking out around the world, we as believers must have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us. He will lead us through the trials if we listen to His voice, but if we harden our hearts we will perish.

“But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”MATTHEW 13:16,17
