On the job training (part 22)

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”MATTHEW 12:43-45

Willful sin is a dangerous thing to commit against God once one has been set free from its bonds! I have seen many who were set free from some form of demonic captivity only to turn back to its strong-hold on their lives and they become seven times worse.

Repentance is the key to deliverance from sin and its hold on ones life in which one turns away from his sin, is washed in the blood of Jesus and is set free from demonic oppression. Without repentance there is no forgiveness and without forgiveness there can be no freedom from bondage. Confess, repent and God’s mercy and forgiveness will cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

To return to ones sin is spoken of in the scripture as a dog returning to his vomit. The blood of Jesus is the only cleansing agent to wash away our sins but to sin willfully is to trample on His blood and to count His sacrifice as unclean, an act which cannot be forgiven.

“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, (the blood of Jesus) but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.”HEBREWS 10:26,27
