ON THE JOB TRAINING (part 17)

As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!” – MATTHEW 9:32,33

Casting out demons is a job I never wanted, but out of necessity I had to do it with many who came in to our residential ministry years ago.

Prostitutes, topless dancers, heroin addicts, alcoholics, witches and some down right mean girls. One night a witch anointed our house with urine trying to curse the ministry. It’s real folks – arm up in the Spirit!

When a sixteen year old picked up a copy machine with one hand I knew then it was time to deal with the demonic.

From that point on we were in God’s on the job training program. I’ve seen men and women writhe on the floor like reptiles, levitate, speak in another gender’s language and generally throw fits of anger. We even had demons come at night having sex with our ladies and they couldn’t tell if they were human or not.

If you are considering this much needed ministry of which all who are Spirit filled are equipped to do, then expect persecutions and counter attacks that you had better prepare for. If Jesus suffered these things, then buckle up – so will you.

But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.” – MATTHEW 9:34
