ON THE JOB TRAINING (part 15)

And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”MATTHEW 9:20,21

In this devotional series the Lord reminded me that this is what we as His body are to be doing: Following His example.

Throughout the gospel Jesus is training us to do what He did while on the earth, healing the sick, casting out demons and even raising the dead.

This is on the job training for the body of Christ.

Do you remember the parable of the talents when a master gave out ten, five and one to His servants and expected them to multiply them with interest upon His return? This is the gift He has given us, the power of God to heal, deliver and to restore life to those in need.

The woman with the issue of blood had the faith to believe if she just touched His garment she would be healed and that is the faith we are to have in order to carry on the work of God’s kingdom.

But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.MATTHEW 9:22
