A fallen America (part 3)

Because of the personal opinion and twisting the truth of the 1st Amendment by Jefferson this lead to the separation of Church and State of which there is no law. “I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between church & government.” Jefferson goes further to say:

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man and God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.

We must understand God is far greater than one man’s relationship with God, and we must understand the separation of Church and State cannot be based on a personal letter, a personal apart from government protocol and proper legislation that would even in itself would violate the 1st Amendment.

Let us also understand, the segment of the letter concerning individual relationship with God, meaning every man has a personal relationship with God which government cannot be involved, but this does not embrace removing God from government. What Jefferson failed to address is God is a big part of government and failed to address God’s complete involved from the founding of our nation. As for the church, although the church is a part of God through Yeshua (Jesus), the church is not God and the church does not control God.

Understand, Jefferson’s letter does not separate the God or the church from government, it states that government cannot pass laws in regards to man’s personal relationship with God. When we consider what took place then and those things that are taking place now, we see the first steps of communism. In America’s beginning, God and government worked hand in hand to establish our great nation, now man, after the prosperity of America has come to pass, desires to remove God. This reminds me of the life of a small child, when the child was young the child is guided and counseled by a parent and when the child grows older the child believes they no longer need the parent to guide them.

A REVIEW OF HISTORY

The phrase separation of Church and State stated by Jefferson became known, abused and misused by power hungry men is so much many people believe it is part of the Constitution, it is not. It was a simple personal letter written by Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association. The letter has been used by the Supreme Courts, as a declaration of authority of which it has no authority, it is a matter of Jefferson’s opinion and is not law.

A MATTER OF HISTORY

However, Jefferson’s views on the First Amendment are confusing; two days after he sent the letter to the Danbury Baptist Association, Jefferson attended a church service conducted in the House of Representatives. The bottom line, there is no separation of Church and State. When God is in government, you will also have Yeshua (Jesus), the only way man can fellowship with God, and we cannot have God if we do not have Yeshua (Jesus) and we cannot have an American government without God.
