The dynamics of discipleship (part 31)

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to heal the brokenhearted.” – LUKE 4:18

As the old song says, “Only love can break a heart and only love can mend it.”

True, true, but the only love that can mend our hearts is the love of Jesus.

We have been given that love to not only mend our hearts, but to share it with the world, many of whom are hopeless and lost.

Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and heal us of all of our sorrows and woes by shedding His blood to wash away our sins, transgressions and generational curses, the real reason our hearts our broken.

By sharing the love of Christ with others and our testimony, we become co-laborers with Him.

We are anointed with Holy Spirit power to heal, deliver and restore those who are broken vessels in need of restoration.

The world needs a Savior and we are His agents of change, equipped to war with the devil and overcome by the blood of the Lamb.

If you have received the love of Jesus to mend your broken heart, then give that love away to someone who desperately needs it.

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” – 1 JOHN 4:17
