The dynamics of discipleship (part 26)

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. – I TIMOTHY 1:15,16

Jesus Christ came into this world to save us from our sin and to set us free from the curse of the law. The apostle Paul’s life was a pattern for us as well as the Lord’s for us to copy what God did through them and to set us on a journey to make disciples our primary mission.

God is calling all believers to preach the gospel and to testify of the grace and glory they have experienced in their lives in order to save the sinner. The next morning after I was saved, I began to testify to my friend of what God did for me, and he eventually gave his life to Jesus. This is our calling, to tell the story of our lives and testify of God’s grace given to us.

Revelation tells us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.

This is our time in history to see multitudes saved, delivered and made into disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. – I TIMOTHY 2:3-6
