The creative power of prayer (part 8)

“And forgive us our sins as we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.” – Luke 11:4

In order to come before God we must be free from sin and release everyone that has unforgiveness toward us or we, them. It is important for us to be free in regards to our relationships and for our hearts to be pure. If we don't forgive we won’t be forgiven.

So much of the sickness, disease and infirmities we suffer are directly related to and caused by sin, unforgiveness and bitterness. Arthritis, cancer and many of the auto-immune diseases are caused by our sin or from generational curses. Jesus told a story to Peter when he asked him how many times he must forgive his brother about a man who was forgiven much but held unforgiveness toward a man who owed him very little in comparison to what he was forgiven.

When the master of the servant found out about it he was angry and delivered him to the torturers, (a type and shadow of the powers of darkness) until he paid all that was due him. We need to take this to heart when holding someone in bondage because we wont forgive them, because we have been forgiven much, so we must forgive much.

“So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother (or sister) his trespasses.”Matthew 18:35
