The creative power of prayer (part 7)

“Give us this day our daily bread.”Luke 11:3

Our daily bread is not only food for the body, but nourishment for the spirit. God promised us that our physical needs would be provided and not to worry as the world does. As we come before God we ask Him to give us spiritual food, that which strengthens our inner man and gives life to our spirit.

A friend was telling me about a book he is writing and asked if I got writer's block. I told him I am not a writer I am an instrument and I only write what He gives me, but if I don't immediately record what He gives me I lose it, just as the manna in the wilderness spoiled, so also as my many unfinished drafts will prove, here today, gone tomorrow. Daily bread is truly, daily.

I suggest that you journal what the Lord gives you and you can go back years later and see how God led you on your journey and how He provided your every need. Ask Him to feed you with the bread of angels, that which will satisfy you with your daily need of spiritual enlightenment.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day in its own trouble.” – Matthew 6:33,34
