BLOOD COVENANT (part 6)

Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” – GENESIS 2:15-17

The first man, Adam was created and placed in a beautiful garden and he was given a command that he could not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil! God created Eve and Adam was responsible to relay God's command to not eat from the tree.

The serpent, Satan, disguised as a beautiful creature moved in to deceive the first family with his demonic diatribe. He bypassed Adam who was standing there and convinced his wife Eve that the tree they were forbidden to eat from would make them wise, and make them like their Creator. Eve took the bait and ate from the tree and gave also to Adam and he ate and they both had their eyes opened to realize they were naked and afraid.

This is the reason we must be saved from the generational curse of Adam and why the Lord Jesus had to die so that we might live. Because of their sin, God expelled them from the garden to scratch out a living from the ground in a cursed world that we would inherit.

And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” – I CORINTHIANS 15:45
