BLOOD COVENANT (part 4)

“But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”HEBREWS 9:11,12

The Old Covenant was fulfilled in Christ and a New Covenant was inaugurated with the blood of Christ. Covenant means a binding contract likened to being blood brothers with someone. In our case we are blood brothers and sisters with Christ.

When Jesus suffered, died and rose again the old priesthood was done away with and a new and living way was introduced. Jesus became our High Priest and we became His royal priesthood, a holy people no longer under law but grace. Jesus fulfilled the law and the temple was destroyed, the priesthood was done away with and the powers of darkness were disarmed.

The veil of separation in the temple was torn from top to bottom by the angels as Jesus drew His last breath, signifying man’s ability to come before the throne of the Most High through the blood of Christ. Are you washed in the Savior’s blood, are your sins forgiven and have you surrendered your life and heart to the Lord Jesus Christ? If not, church will just be another dead religious ritual and you will continue on your final journey to eternal damnation with the devil and his angels.

“For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause He is the mediator of the new covenant, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they which are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.”HEBREWS 9:13-15
