The believer’s mission statement (part 9)

“To proclaim the day of vengeance of our God.” – Isaiah 61:2

The day of the Lord or the day of vengeance, commonly referred to as “Judgment Day”" is a time of reckoning on the earth toward its sinners, it is the “Great Tribulation!” We as believers are to warn those in sin so that they may repent and be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Whether you believe in pre-trib, mid-trib or post trib, the fact remains, the day of the Lord’s wrath will be poured out upon the earth! Jesus warned the disciples of the coming tribulation, telling all to remain vigilant and repent lest they be swept away in the Lord’s anger. Lost sinner’s who die in their sin will stand before the “Great White Throne Judgment” where mercy and grace are non-existent and the time of their sentencing to an eternity in Hell awaits them.

Our main mission in the time of our stay upon the earth is to warn the wicked to repent and turn away from their sinful lifestyles and be born again as new creations in Christ! We as believers will stand at the “Judgment seat of Christ” where our works will be judged for what we did or did not do in the body, though not for sin.

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” – Matthew 24:21
