The believer’s mission statement (part 4)

“He has sent us to heal the brokenhearted.” – Luke 4:18

There aren’t many who have traversed this earth who haven't had their hearts broken or hurt by someone or something and there is only one remedy, “The blood of Jesus!” The lyrics to the old song, “Only Love can break a heart and only love can mend it again” comes to mind as I think about the love of Jesus poured out for us to mend our broken hearts.

The heart of Jesus was pierced through so that our hearts could be healed and restored when we are born again. The only way we as believers can heal the brokenhearted is by sharing the gospel of Christ with them and the redemptive power it possesses to restore them. The heart of man is a complicated and miraculous work of God who designed it and created it to not only pump blood but to feel love, compassion and pain.

Has your heart been broken? If so, cry out to the One who made it, the One who cares for you more than anyone, Who has the ability to mend and restore you so that you can love again. Jesus is your hope and your confidence to be healed, so put your trust in Him and allow the stripes on His back to restore your broken heart!

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, (dis-heartened) for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”Isaiah 41:10
