Local students who received degrees during the 2023 Fall semester at Sam Houston State University include Nathanial Alcantar from Ennis, Caroline Kelly from Ferris, Morgan Roper from Midlothian, William Starnes from Ovilla, and Rachel Hicks and Jylon Menefee from Waxahachie.
Angelo State University student-athletes Rance Purser and Mariah Griffin from Midlothian were named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for their academic performance during the fall 2023 semester.
Matt Bechdel from Ennis earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement, held Dec. 16, 2023.
