FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (March 21, 2024)

Thank you to everyone that spent time at the library on Spring Break.

We offered an adult craft, movie matinee, story time, game time and a St. Patrick’s Day craft.

Check our Facebook page for pictures of our past events.

We will hold an Easter themed children’s craft on Wednesday, March 27 from 4 – 5 p.m., while supplies last.

Story Time is hosted every Wednesday from 10:30 – 11 a.m. Children are treated to stories, fun activities, and a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the treasure chest.

After-School Game Time is held each Thursday from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Children can play the PS5 on the large screen in the meeting room and board games are also available.

NEW BOOKS: “Wandering Stars” by Tommy Orange, “The Atlas Maneuver” by Steve Berry, “The Guest” by B.A. Paris, “End of Story” by A.J. Finn, and “Supercommunicators: How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection” (Dewey 153) by Charles Duhigg.

BOOK BLURB: “Wandering Stars” by Tommy Orange, released February 2024. Extending his constellation of narratives into the past and future, Tommy Orange traces the legacies of the Sand Creek Massacre of 1864 and the Carlisle Indian Industrial School through three generations of a family in a story that is by turns shattering and wondrous.
