With your Ferris Public Library membership, you have access to thousands of e-books to choose from, including audiobooks, magazines, and movies. Some of the audiobooks may be downloaded to your device permanently. The free Libby app is the simplest way to get started using the library’s electronic collection. The Libby app is available for Android, iOS, Window 10, some Chromebooks, or visit libbyapp.com in your computer’s browser. This app is from your device’s app store (Apple App Store, Google Play, or Windows Store). Follow all the prompts to find the Ferris Public Library and sign-in with your library card number. Then the fun begins with browsing all the titles and borrowing a title.

Borrowed items appear under Shelf>Loans and download to your device automatically when you’re connected to the Internet so you can read them when you’re offline. From the Loans tab you can: Open Book to choose where you’d like to read the book (Kindle or Libby) then send to Kindle or start reading in Libby. Tap Open Audiobooks or Open Magazines to start listening to or reading those titles. Tap the Due Date to see options like Renew and Return. As always, the Ferris Library’s staff is eager and willing to help serve you in any manner that we can.

After-School Game Time for ages 7 through 17, is held every Tuesday, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Kids can play Wii and PS4 on the large screens, and for those that like the board games they can play them as well.

Story Time for pre-school children is on each Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Children will be treated to a story, fun activities, and have a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the Treasure Chest.
