FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (April 4, 2025)

National Library Week, April 6-12, 2025, is a celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and has been observed in libraries across the Unites Sates each April since 1958.

What draws people to our library? Everything! From books and digital resources to creative programming for adults and children, we are essential to thriving communities.

Whether you’re a longtime patron or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all that our library has to offer. 

We provide more than just books! From free Wi-Fi and public use computers to Story Times and Lego Labs, we ensure that everyone has access to resources that educate, inspire, and connect.

Libraries serve as hubs for learning, creativity, and connection, helping people of all ages explore new ideas and opportunities.

STORY TIME is hosted every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Children are treated to stories, fun activities, and a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the treasure chest to take home. 

AFTER-SCHOOL GAME TIME is held each Thursday from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Children can play the PS5 on the large screen in the meeting room and board games are also available..
