FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (April 25, 2024)

April is National Poetry Month, 30 days of celebrating the joy, expressiveness, and pure delight of poetry.

Feel free to swing by the library and explore our collection of poetry books in both the adult and children’s sections. There is a wide variety available for you to browse and enjoy.

Thank you to those that came out for the Coloring and Conversation program, presented by Tabitha Pennon. We love having new faces in the library.

Story Time is hosted every Wednesday from 10:30 – 11 a.m. Children are treated to stories, fun activities, and a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the treasure chest.

After-School Game Time is held each Thursday from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Children can play the PS5 on the large screen in the meeting room and board games are also available.

JOKE OF THE WEEK: (Q) Where does the library keep books about Big Foot? (A) The large-print section.

The library is located at 301 E. 10th St., across from Mutz Ballpark. Library staff may be reached at ferrislibrary@ferristexas.gov or (972) 544-2110, Option 9.
