VARIOUS LANE CLOSURES ON NORTHBOUND I-35E AT BUTCHER ROAD BEGIN JULY 14 IN WAXAHACHIE

WAXAHACHIE – Weather permitting, northbound I-35E will have various lane closures at Butcher Road in Waxahachie from 9 p.m. tonight, July 14 through 6 a.m. Friday, July 15 for striping. Drivers can expect a traffic shift on northbound I-35E starting at 9 p.m. tonight through mid-2023 as part of an ongoing interchange improvement project.

Motorists should plan ahead for delays and use caution as traffic adjusts to the new lane configurations.

Future lane closures will be announced as they are scheduled. The overall project is expected to complete in 2024, weather permitting.

TxDOT continues to urge drivers to pay attention and slow down while in the work zone.
