ELLIS COUNTY - Starting March 20, TxDOT will share plans for building nearly two miles of a new highway route in Waxahachie.
State Spur (SS) 394 would be constructed between Interstate 35E (I-35E) and FM 877 to help meet future traffic demands in the area. The new route would include four lanes total with accommodations for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
An open house is set for Thursday, March 20 where project plans and other materials can be viewed in a come-and-go format. Comments are encouraged, and staff will be on-hand to to help answer questions.
A virtual option will also be online starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20 through Friday, April 4. The same materials from the open house will be available for viewing, along with options to provide comments.
