Red Oak road closure scheduled for this weekend

RED OAK – While there is already road work snarling traffic in the City of Red Oak, on Friday, April 4 at 9 p.m. to Saturday, April 5 at noon residents are in for another major traffic inconvenience. 

TXDot will be closing I-35, the north and southbound service roads, and the Ovilla Overpass for partial bridge demolition during that time.

Due to the closure, traffic will be rerouted through the Ovilla Road jug handles and will be able to re-enter I-35 at the next available on-ramp. 

TXDOT warns to expect heavy delays.

If possible, avoid the area and plan an alternate route.
