I-20 PAVEMENT PROJECT STARTS JUNE 10

DALLAS – A project to rehabilitate six miles of pavement on Interstate 20 (I-20) between the Interstate 35E (I-35E) and Interstate 45 (I-45) junctions is scheduled to begin Friday, June 10.

The $15 million project includes replacing areas of concrete pavement, replacing the asphalt overlay in this corridor and also new striping on the main lanes.

Drivers can expect various lane and ramp closures throughout the project, especially in the overnight hours, and delays can be expected. The overall project is expected to complete in early summer 2023, weather permitting.

It should also be noted that a bridge rehabilitation project is currently in place at the I-20/I-35E interchange, and there may be additional lane and ramp closures in this area as part of that work.

This project is expected to complete in late 2022, weather permitting.
