ARLINGTON – Quarterback Jaylen Robinson was 10 of 22 and had 133 passing yards, and 58 rushing yards on 15 carries in a 35-25 win over Arlington Seguin (0-2).Both teams scored on their first possessions, and also on the last possessions in the first half.

SEPTEMBER 2: Waxahachie 50, Arlington Lamar 7

WAXAHACHIE – Jayden Becks ran for 33 yards on 12 carries for three touchdowns to lead Waxahachie over Arlington Lamar.Waxahachie’s (2-0) Ramon McKinney Jr.  threw for 50 yards and a touchdown on three completions, adding 55 rushing yards and a pair of scores on the ground.

Hawks tree Cougars in 51-43 win

RED OAK – The Red Oak Hawks started the 2022 season out with an exciting 51-43 win over the Colony Cougars at Billy Goodloe Stadium on Friday, Aug. 26.The Hawks, which have been a run first, pass second team for years seemed to have switch it up, at least for first game of the 2022 season.

AUGUST 26: Lake Worth 36, Ferris 30

DENTON – Damion Moore tallied 263 rushing yards and four touchdowns, including a game-winning 25-yard TD run in overtime, and Lake Worth’s defense held Ferris to 54 first-half rushing yards.

AUGUST 26: Red Oak 51, The Colony 43

RED OAK – Kemondre Yancy’s interception with 3:30 left to play in the game sealed the victory for Red Oak (1-0) over The Colony.Red Oak lead by as much as 17 points. Two touchdowns in the final minute of the third quarter weren’t enough for The Colony (0-1).

AUGUST 26: Stephenville 49, Midlothian Heritage 42

MIDLOTHIAN – Quarterback Ryder Lambert threw for 278 yard and five touchdowns on 19 completions and added a rushing touchdown to lead defending state champion Stephenville over Midlothian Heritage.

AUGUST 26: Waxahachie 42, Ennis 2

WAXAHACHIE – Three seasons of losses to rival Ennis provided all the motivation Waxahachie quarterback Roderick Hartsfield Jr. needed.
