Italy survives thriller over Cayuga, 34-26

After Italy fumbled the ball away on the opening kickoff, Cayuga mounted a 6-play drive resulting in a 9-yard rollout to the left by Cayuga’s Gunner Douglas, who crossed the goal line untouched. A straight-ahead handoff to fullback Jaden Davis put 2 more points on the board for the Wildcats.

Midlothian 47, Harker Heights 45

MIDLOTHIAN – Senior Zechariah Washington finished off a remarkable comeback, catching a 43-yard touchdown pass from Beau Wendel as time expired to earn Midlothian a 47-45 victory over Killeen Harker Heights at Midlothian ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium.

RED OAK FINDS THE WIN COLUMN WITH A 41-14 VICTORY OVER CEDAR HILL

RED OAK – Coming off back-to-back losses in non-district games, the Hawks hosted the Class 6A Cedar Hill Longhorns in week 3.The Hawks came into the game ready to play. They took control of the game early and never let up. With one of their main weapons, senior wide receiver Taz Williams Jr.

TEXARKANA SPOILS MIDLOTHIAN HERITAGE’S HOMECOMING, 51-13

MIDLOTHIAN – Quarterback David Potter threw for 321 yards and three touchdowns as Texarkana scored 41unanswered points in a 51-13 win over Midlothian Heritage at Midlothian ISD Stadium.

ITALY GETS HOMECOMING WIN OVER CLIFTON, 19-7

ITALY – At the 5:34 mark of the second-quarter, the 3A Clifton Cubs finally struck the first blow against the 2A Italy Gladiators with a 4th-and-goal quick pitch to the left to go up 7-0.

Midlothian squeaks by Kimball, 36-33

MIDLOTHIAN – Junior quarterback Beau Wendel accounted for188 yards and three touchdowns as Midlothian held off Kimball at MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium.Kimball scored on a 61-yard touchdown pass from Armirie Williams-Hall to Jaylen Mosley with 48 seconds remaining.
