Hawks upset #8 SOC 28-21

A year ago, the Hawks gave South Oak Cliff its only real challenge in District 6-5A Division II, and although both the Golden Bears and Hawks made it into the playoffs, the Hawks season ended in the first round, leaving a bitter taste.

No. 17 Red Oak stunned 48-27 in season opener

LITTLE ELM, TX – The Hawks rolled into Little Elm on a rare Thursday night expecting a repeat of their 2018 win over the Denton Braswell Bengals. However, the Bengals quickly found a kink in the Hawks armor – the deep ball.

Hawks take sole possession of first

Both Red Oak and Midlothian came into Friday’s game at 5-0 in District 14-5A. The Hawks came out on top with a 61-54 victory.

Lady Hawks drop 2nd District game

The Red Oak lady Hawks varsity basketball team dropped their 2nd district game to the Lady Panthers from Midlothian. On Tuesday, Jan. 15 they lost an overtime game at Cleburne 64-61. On Friday, Jan. 8, they battled a very good 5-3 Midlothian Lady Panthers team and were simply out played.

RED OAK WINS AGAIN 75 – 53

The Hawks started out a little cold against Waco falling behind 9-0, but Joshua Miller (21 pts.) and Marcus Sasser (25 pts.) lit up the 3-point arc and Red Oak soared passed Waco in the first period to a 22-11 lead. Waco stayed close in the 2nd and 3rd periods, but in the 4th it was all Hawks.

Red Oak defeats Seagoville 65-0, moves on to the playoffs

SEAGOVILLE – C.J. Palmer hit pay dirt three times as Red Oak shut out Seagoville Friday night in the final game of the regular season for the two teams. Palmer ran for 108 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries. Running back, Dee Johnson ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.
