ROHS student-athletes sign collegiate LOI

RED OAK – Red Oak High School and the athletics department hosted college-bound student-athletes, their families, coaches and college representatives on Wednesday, Feb, 5. More than 15 student-athletes confirmed their intent to various colleges.

Red Oak falls to Aledo 34-14

The Hawks returned to AT&T Stadium on Friday, Nov. 29 to face the defending 5A Division II State Champions. Both teams came into the game with identical records and on paper looked as if this could be one of the better 5A games. However, it was not to be.

Red Oak defeats Braswell 35-30, faces Aledo Bearcats

The Hawks only loss this year came in week 1 to the Denton Braswell Bengals, where the Hawks came in flat, had plenty of mistakes and were burned by the deep ball. Fast forward 10 weeks and the Hawks faced Denton Braswell again, but with the Area Championship on the line.

Hawks beat Everman 55-24, advance to area round

RED OAK – It’s been seven years since the Red Oak Hawks have won a playoff game, but on Friday November 15, the Hawks pounded the visiting Everman Bulldogs in the Bi-district round of the State 5A-Div. II playoffs with a 55-24 win.
The Hawk defense had another impressive game, holding Spruce to -10 yards rushing. Just before halftime, the Hawks defense make another 3rd down stop for a loss.

Junior quarterback Joshua Ervin passed for 177 yards and two touchdowns as Red Oak rolled to a lopsided 63-6 win over Spruce at Dragon Stadium. Sophomore Elijah Shaw intercepted two Spruce passes and returned both for touchdowns in the first half. Red Oak (8-1, 6-0 in 6-5A Div.

Red Oak beats Conrad 84-0, clinches playoff spot

RED OAK – Joshua Ervin threw four touchdown passes as Red Oak scored four touchdowns in each of the first two quarters on their way to a dominating 84-0 victory over Dallas Conrad (1-7) at Billy Goodloe Stadium.

Red Oak crushes Adamson 70-0

C.J. Palmer rushed for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Red Oak to a victory over Adamson. Joshua Ervin passed for 180 yards and three touchdowns for Red Oak. Coby Cavil had 77 yards receiving and a touchdown on five catches.

Red Oak limits Kimball to 5 plays in first quarter, goes on to win 48-13

Red Oak (5-1, 3-0 in district), No. 7 in SportsDay’s 5A area rankings, knocked off defending district champion South Oak Cliff two weeks ago. And now the 48-13 win over previously undefeated Kimball clearly establishes the Hawks as the district frontrunner.
