Ennis dominates “Battle of 287” with 38-0 win over Waxahachie

ENNIS – The U.S. Highway 287 road sign presented annually to the winning side in one of the area’s oldest rivalries will remain in Ennis for another year.

Winsor leads Ferris over Dallas Hillcrest, 22-7

DALLAS – Offensive miscues doomed the Hillcrest Panthers during a 22-7 loss to Ferris in their home opener at Franklin Stadium. The game was added to the schedule earlier in the week after Hillcrest’s original opponent, Dallas Christian, was sidelined because of COVID-19 precautions.

Palmer takes apart mistake-prone Mildred, 58-13

PALMER – The Mildred Eagles fell to the Palmer Bulldogs 58-13 in a mistake filled ballgame Friday night. The Eagles fought hard on both sides of the ball, but were unable to overcome the Bulldog onslaught.

Midlothian beats winless Forney, 49-13

FORNEY – Ethan Hall ran for three touchdowns and 142 yards as Midlothian wore down the home team after Forney took a 13-8 lead in the first quarter. Xavionte Jackson caught two scoring passes from Nicholas De Los Santos in the second quarter to give Midlothian (2-0) a 21-13 halftime lead.

Mid. Heritage runs over Alvarado, 56-23

MIDLOTHIAN – Daelin Rader amassed 219 yards of total offense and accounted for four touchdowns to lead Midlothian Heritage over Alvarado.   MH – Hayden Wiginton 61 pass from Daelin Rader (Calvin Duggins kick). MH – Haydon Wiginton 32 pass from Daelin Rader (Calvin Duggins kick).
