GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Red Oak sweeps Corsicana 3-0

RED OAK – The Red Oak Lady Hawks varsity volleyball team closed out their regular season with a sweep over visiting Corsicana on Senior Night.Red Oak started the game with 6 of their 7 seniors taking the court.

OCTOBER 21: Ennis 45, Arlington Seguin 20

ENNIS – Jackson Gilkey rushed for 137 yards and threw three touchdown passes as Ennis (3-5, 3-2 District 5-5A-2) toppled Arlington Seguin (3-5, 2-3).Gilkey helped Ennis run off 35 straight points after Seguin grabbed a 14-10 lead with 8:45 remaining in the first half.

OCTOBER 21: Midlothian 39, Lake Belton 37

MIDLOTHIAN – Midlothian quarterback Chad Ragle scored a heroic 2-yard touchdown to complete the comeback victory over Lake Belton 39-37 on Friday at Midlothian ISD stadium.Lake Belton (7-2, 5-2 4-5A) scored on every drive of the game up until the fourth quarter.

OCTOBER 21: Midlothian Heritage 56, Corsicana 24

CORSICANA – Kaden Brown threw for 275 yards and two first-half touchdowns and added a late rushing score to lead Midlothian Heritage.Heritage (7-1, 5-0 District 5-5AII) started and ended the game with special teams scores.

OCTOBER 21: Waxahachie 31, Mansfield 20

MANSFIELD – Calvin Simpson-Hunt returned a fumble 95 yards for a touchdown to break a 3-3 tie in the final seconds of the first quarter and Keith Abney intercepted a wide receiver hitch pass and carried it 43 yards for a touchdown to make it 24-3 early in the second half.

Red Oak Hawks swat Cleburne Yellowjackets 49-3

RED OAK – After a blow out win over Waco last week, the Hawks returned home to host the Cleburne Yellowjackets.Red Oak needed only one offensive play to flex their muscle when QB Warren Roberson connected with WR Jairrus Nicholson on a deep ball down the middle for a quick Hawks touchdown.

OCTOBER 14: Midlothian Heritage 38, Ennis 35

MIDLOTHIAN – Mason O’Neal scored a game-winning 12-yard touchdown run with 1:11 left to help Midlothian Heritage defeat Ennis 38-35 in a District 5-5A Division II matchup Friday night at Midlothian ISD Stadium.

OCTOBER 14: Red Oak 49, Cleburne 3

RED OAK – Kendall Brown passed for 120 yards and one score, leading Red Oak to a win over Cleburne at Billy Goodloe Stadium.On its third offensive play, Red Oak opened the scoring from a 38-yard touchdown pass from Jaylon Robinson to Jarrius Nicholson.
