WAXAHACHIE – DJ Bailey threw three touchdown passes – two in the second half – and DeSoto’s defense made critical halftime adjustments as the defending Class 6A Division II state champion pulled away late to beat Waxahachie 56-35 at Lumpkins Stadium.

WEEK 5: Midlothian 47, Cleburne 15

MIDLOTHIAN – Senior Bryant Wesco had two touchdowns receiving and returned a punt for another score while senior running back Michael Garber ran for a career-high 182 yards and a touchdown for Midlothian.No.

WEEK 5: Midlothian Heritage 56, Joshua 10

MIDLOTHIAN – Carter Rutenbar threw three touchdowns and ran 118 yards  – all in the first half  – to lead Midlothian Heritage to a win over Joshua.Jayden Moore recovered a muffed kickoff return in the Joshua end zone for a touchdown to start the game for Midlothian Heritage (5-0, 2-0 5-5A II).

WEEK 5: Wilmer-Hutchins 40, Pinkston 8

WILMER  – Leslie Tippins recovered a fumble and returned it 63 yards for a touchdown early, and Wilmer-Hutchins rolled to a win at home over Pinkston.Tamajae McMillon finished with 123 yards passing and two touchdown passes for Wilmer- Hutchins (5-0, 2-0 in District 7-4A).

WEEK 5: Longview 52, Lancaster 35

LANCASTER – Taylor Tatum rushed for 250 yards and three touchdowns and added one 25-yard reception for a touchdown to lead Longview over Lancaster at Tiger Stadium.Longview quarterback Andrew Tutt rushed 32 yards for a touchdown to tie the score at 21-21 in the second quarter.

WEEK 4: Ennis 56, Corsicana 8

ENNIS – Quarterback Wondame Davis Jr. threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns to secure Ennis’ first victory. Davis also had two receptions for 84 yards and one touchdown.Ennis led 36-6 at halftime after putting up 22 first-quarter points.
