Tyler knocks Red Oak out of playoffs, 45-33

 RED OAK – The Red Oak Hawks needed a win to seal up 3rd place in the district and move into the playoffs. But, going into the game, a loss didn’t necessarily knock them out either in a wild playoff scenario.

Waxahachie clobbers Mesquite, 52-7, will be No. 2 seed in 6A Division 1 bracket

WAXAHACHIE – Junior quarterback Jerry Meyer III passed for 222 yards and four touchdowns and led Waxahachie to a blowout in a District11-6A contest at Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium.Waxahachie will be the No. 2 seed in the 6A Division I bracket by virtue of Duncanville and DeSoto winning their games.

Ennis clinches playoff berth with 42-13 win over Corsicana

ENNIS – Wenderius Jones’ three touchdowns and an opportunistic defense helped the Ennis Lions clinch a playoff berth in a win over Corsicana.Ennis forced a fumble on Corsicana’s third play from scrimmage, which they recovered on the Tiger’s 1-yard line. Jones scored on the next play for a 7-0 lead.

Red Oak has frightful Halloween night, loses big to Midlothian, 46-10

 MIDLOTHIAN – The Red Oak Hawks and Midlothian Panthers faced off Friday, Oct. 31 for sole possession of 2nd place in 5A-1 District 7.On this rare Halloween night game, the Panthers provided plenty of tricks and no treats for the visiting Hawks, blowing out Red Oak, 46-10.
